Will the state of New Jersey accept an online certificate for my job or license? / Why choose in-person?
No. New Jersey state licensing guidelines for daycares, schools, DDD agencies, and paid caregiver networks strictly mandate a physical, in-person hands-on evaluation. Online CPR courses are widely rejected by employer insurance and state rules. Our training is 100% in-person to guarantee universal acceptance.
Does this cover children and infants, or just adults?
It covers all age groups. This single 2-in-1 course is a combination class that covers Basic CPR for Adults/Children/Infants, Choking relief, and AED use, alongside comprehensive First Aid training. You do not need to purchase a separate pediatric class.
What if I only need CPR or only need First Aid?
You can choose to attend just the CPR or First Aid portion of the class depending on your specific needs. However, the course registration cost remains the same flat $85 fee. After enrolling, text us at 856-375-0866 with your class date and we will confirm your arrival time.
How long does the AHA First Aid CPR AED certification last?
Your official certification is valid for **2 full years**. It expires exactly at the end of the completion month, two years from your test date.
What is the difference between this class and BLS?
The **AHA BLS Provider course** is tailored for healthcare professionals working in clinical settings such as hospitals, dental offices, and nursing facilities. The **AHA First Aid CPR AED course** is explicitly designed for the general public and non-clinical roles. It does not require any background medical knowledge.
Is there a test at the end of the class?
Yes. There is a simple multiple choice test at the end of the course. Throughout the class your instructor provides the answers during reviews so you are well prepared by the time you reach the test sheet. Most students find it straightforward and completely stress-free.
Are there any physical requirements / Do I have to get on my knees?
No. All physical manikin practice and skills assessments are completed on top of tables for your comfort. You will not need to get on the floor at any point. The most demanding skill is simply performing chest compressions (pushing down with your arms and bending at the hips). When will I receive my First Aid CPR AED certification card?
Your official AHA Heartsaver digital certification eCard will be issued and emailed directly to your inbox on the **same day as your class**.
Do I need to purchase a book for the class?
No. We provide official student loaner books for classroom use at no charge. If you prefer to have a permanent personal copy, you may purchase an AHA manual for $8 at our facility during your class.
What is the cancellation, refund, and late arrival policy?
Cancellations and class day changes must be completed at least **48 hours before** your scheduled course date. All sales are final; there are no refunds for no-shows. Classes start exactly on time under AHA rules, and **late arrivals will not be admitted**. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early.
