Is BLS for Healthcare?

Yes, BLS (Basic Life Support) was formerly called BLS Healthcare Provider, but the name was changed by the AHA several years ago. BLS is the required CPR certification class for healthcare workers. Get your BLS certification in only 3 hours.

Will I learn CPR for infants, children, and adults in BLS?

YES! BLS is CPR for anyone working in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, medical office, dental office. The Basic Life Support classes teach CPR (and AED usage) for all ages. BLS is a great CPR course for anyone desiring CPR training.

I’ve taken BLS in the past, can I take a BLS renewal class?

We have shortened our BLS course so all of our classes are the same length. New BLS and BLS Renewals are the same.

Is this the correct CPR course for nurses and nursing students?

Yes, nurses and nursing students are required to take the AHA BLS Provider Course to start clinicals and to work in a hospital setting.

Do I have to get on my knees?

NO! We perform the skills on a table, so no strain or stress on your knees.

When will I receive my certification card?

You will receive your AHA certification card the same day of your class. The AHA only provides digital cards, so we email the cards after you have completed your class.

Do I need to purchase a book?

We provide books for each person in our BLS and First Aid/CPR AED classes? You may also purchase a manual when you arrive to your class.

I took a CPR class online or through another organization and now my employer will not accept my certification?

Our students have made it clear that a large majority of hospitals, schools, and government agencies DO NOT accept online learning. And, most require an American Heart Association CPR Certification. As a result, ALL of our classes are in person. And, our CPR Training Center is well respected because we offer the best CPR training experience.

REFUND POLICY:

All cancellations/class change requests must take place 2 days prior to the course date. NO REFUNDS FOR "NO SHOW" STUDENTS. If a student does not show up for a class the course fees will not be refunded. 

LATE POLICY: ARRIVE ON TIME

Students are not permitted to enter the course if late by 10 minutes or more - NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are late, greater than 10 minutes you will be considered a NO SHOW and NO REFUND will be provider. This policy is firm.
